KARIBU WOMEN’S & CHILDREN’S HOME

I purchased two acres of land near my community back in Kenya. I  am building  a women’s and children’s home.

The nameKaribu, is a Swahili word that means welcome. The shelter will welcome women and children seeking safety and security from all adversity and provide them with a safe haven. The home will operate confidentially to protect the safety of those seeking refuge.

Initially, volunteer staff will provide assistance, security, food, and medical checks. My goal is to have trained staff in attendance covering the fields of nursing, medicine, pathology, teaching and other areas targeted to train and empower women and young people to grow to be independent.

During their stay, staff will help identify their needs, and they will offer the appropriate support. They will receive health checks, medicine, a clean bed, shower, food, personal items, and most importantly, safety. The future goal is to offer workshops to train the residents based on their areas of interest and needs.

This is an enormous project to empower vulnerable people in my village. I will travel back and forth to supervise this project until completion. This initiative will change the lives of many people and I urge you to be curious about how you can get involved.

We need your support to provide: water, bedding, food, cooking equipment, medical supplies, clothes, shoes, personal items, educational items, children’s toys, etc.

Will you please consider a monthly tax-deductible donation? Your money will go directly towards changing someone’s life forever. Please get in touch with me on the details below if you have questions about how the shelter will operate and if you would like to donate or volunteer. All assistance, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
